Last year (2024) the OCC ladies were a very busy bunch. There were lots of sportives ridden (by individuals and teams), there were social, training and competitive rides, and there were social multi-day rides in/around Whitby and the Coast and Castles route (Newcastle-Edinburgh).
I know people's diaries are filling fast so thought it would be good to get together to share ideas about how we can support OCC ladies to enjoy even more in 2025.
We are already intending to do the Way of the Roses weekend of the 6-9 June and would like to get other events in the calendar... social weekends, organised charity events such as the Yorkshire Wolds (12-13 July), group outings to cycle focussed events (cinema, race meetings, festivals etc).
I anticipate that some of what we plan will be women only and some will be made available to mixed groups; my focus is always about hearing what OCC ladies would like and ensuring that all OCC activities are female friendly. With this in mind I would like to invite OCC ladies to meet at my house on Saturday 25th January (6.30-9.30pm) to share ideas.
