Triangle TT early 2023 dates announced

With lighter and (hopefully) warmer evenings, it means we'll soon be into Triangle Time Trial season. This weekly event throughout the summer gives you a chance to pin a number on and race against the clock. It's one of the most accessible forms of racing around, and with our low-key events is the perfect opportunity to embrace your competitive side.

It's open to anybody, whether veteran of the discipline or complete novice. As long as you have a road legal bike, front and rear lights and a helmet, you're good to go.

Join several events through the season to see how you improve, and through our handicap system you may even win against others.

The dates and locations of the events are listed below for the first couple of months (the series continues to the end of August, but due to uncertainty about Harewood Bridge closure, I'll announce the courses nearer the time. If we have to change events before the end of June we'll announce so). Just turn up around 30 mins before the start, sign on and you're good to go (it's £4 per ride, but we typically sort that at the end of the season).

The main Triangle course starts at Arthington (near Pool), outside the currently closed Wharfedale Inn and for those more inclined towards hillier events, we also have our Hilly event.

We also depend on volunteer marshals to safely run the events, so if you can spare about an hour the occasional Thursday evening to add some visibility at junctions, it would be very much appreciated. You can sign up here TriangleMarshals2023.xlsx or by getting in touch with Liam Mealey or anyone else on the club committee.

If you have any questions, please get in touch with the club or the series organiser Liammealey@hotmail.com and we'll try to help.

Hopefully we'll see lots out there, both old and new.
