30 Championship and Triangle Finale

Biblical rain greeted eight club riders for two full laps of the Walshford course, chasing both the 30mile TT championship prizes and the points in the conclusion of the Triangle.

Sam Ward finished first rider in 1:04:20 to round off a very strong season. Junior race team member Emily Middlebrooke was fastest woman in 1:20:26, just narrowly missing the club 30 record. Fastest on handicap on the day was Chris Yates.

John Raftery lead the Triangle points coming into the final round, and posted a time strong enough to confirm his first place with 67 points. He finished ahead of Sam Ward (62 points) and Helen Goldthorpe (61 points).

Well done all, and thank you for all volunteers who ventured out in those conditions.

That concludes the Triangle series for the year. We hope to see many of you again next season.
