In stark contrast to earlier in the week, the 10 mile TT Championship event saw cool wet but largely still conditions out on the Walshford course. Despite this, a strong field of 17 (14 OCC, 3 guests) turned out, including novices to both the specific course and time trialling overall. Despite some pre-race incidents (I hope you got your car back John!), the event went off well once riders got underway.
Fastest on the night was guest local paralympian Adam Duggleby in 20:18. Fastest OCC rider was Sam Ward in 21:03, taking the men’s competition, and Helen Goldthorpe posted a 25:45 to win the women’s competition. Rachel Crowther took the handicap competition; time trialling is proving a fruitful endeavour for her recently!
