Following two weeks on the Red Wall, the Triangle series returned to Arthington for a full 12.5mile event. The proximity coupled with some good conditions brought out decent numbers of riders, veteran and novice, with 11 OCC and 4 guests.
Making the most of these conditions, guest rider Matt Chipping posted a 27:05 to be the fastest on the evening. OCC rider Helen Goldthorpe was the fastest women with a 33:17.
Special mention must go to youth race team rider Matthew Peace, who at age 15 managed an impressively quick 28:12, despite age related gear restrictions. This falls on the back of breaking several club youth records earlier in the season.
In doing so, Matthew was the fastest OCC rider on the night, and also best on the handicap competition.
Next week again returns to the Triangle with a start time of 7:30pm in Arthington. Full details of upcoming events here.
Thank you to those who have offered to help marshal, though we continue our request for more to help these events go ahead. Available slots are detailed here
