Last week saw two club TT events.
First up saw a return to the Red Wall for the 25mile Championship. Deceptively strong northerly winds didn’t stop some strong performances in the pursuit of silverware.
Fastest on the night was Sam Ward with 54:38, to take the 25mile championship. Helen Goldthorpe recorded a 1:07:08 to win the women’s competition.
The handicap competition was very close, with Phil Mason and Tom Broadley both recording a 1:00:42 on handicap, with Tim Howcroft a mere 6s behind.
Thursday same a distinctly different course, with the second event of the season on the Hilly 14 course. Some unusually calm conditions saw first time Triangler Ben Craggs record the fastest time of 38:16, and with it also took maximum points in the handicap competition.
The overall competition is still lead by Tony Wild, but after a few strong events, Tom Broadley is starting to close the gap, currently only 6 points off the lead.
Well done all, and once again thank you to volunteers who help the events run.
