Apparently we’re a hardy bunch in OCC. It appears that the harder the conditions, the more riders turn up to take on the Triangle. Despite blowly, grey, and for the last riders at least, wet conditions, we had the biggest field so far this year on the shortened 9mile event, with 11 OCC riders and 7 guests.
The return of Sam Ward saw him take the fastest time on the night, and the fastest time of the season so far, with an 18.46. Tony Wild put in a storming ride on (revised) handicaps, with an adjusted time of 20:51. However the handicaps on the night all looked close, with only 1min on adjusted time between 1st and 10th!
The overall points so far have been revised, following a stewards inquiry. Chris Stokes still leads Tony Wild, but by a reduced margin of 3 points.
We have two events next week, with the 25mile Championship on Walshford on Tuesday, and a Hilly 14 at Farnley on Thursday. If you wish to be eligible for the TT championship or the 25 Championship, please contact Liam Mealey (email@example.com) by the end of Sunday.
As ever, we are still in need for marshals for upcoming events – please see here for unallocated slots
