For the first time this season, the club’s time triallers got to race on a course as originally planned, and without hitch. A warm breezy night drew twelve club members and one guest to race a proper grimpeurs course in the Hilly 14 mile event, taking in Leathley Bank and the reverse of Norwood Edge.
Fastest on the night was guest from VSCC Matthew Chipping, with an impressive 36:04. Fastest club rider was Chris Stokes, finishing in 42:38, and with it maximum points in the handicap competition.
Chris is leading the overall points competition after three rounds with 28 points.
Second place is jointly share between Phil Mason, and Sam Ward (who didn’t race on this event)
Photos thanks to Paul Knights and Helen Goldthorpe. More photos are on Facebook, and I’ll try and add to Flickr too.
The Triangle will return to the main course next week, albeit on the 9 mile course from Huby (unless the lights miraculously disappear).
The 25 mile Championship event will also be changed to the Walshford Course, and run on 29th June rather than the 24th.
