Biking at the Brownlee Centre!

Does the thought of cycling in a traffic-free environment take your fancy?

Are you an existing member who wants to ride with other club members, or are you thinking of trying out Otley Cycle Club?

Either way, why not join us in the morning on Sunday 30 June at the Brownlee Centre (LS16 8NA) for some fun on the track!

We listened to your suggestions in the club vision review questionnaire and have booked the centre for us to have a club morning there.

Whether you just want to ride around or take advantage of the skills coaching that we’re offering then this is the day for you!

Optional coaching will be available to learn things like:

  • riding 2-abreast
  • calling out hazards
  • descending
  • cornering
  • riding in a group
  • ‘through and off’
  • and anything else you want to know more about

Or you could just ride round and round doing your own thing!

All members (and their family and friends) are welcome, and this is open to non club members who are thinking of joining us too. Come and meet us and see what we’re all about. Any bike will do – all welcome.

Booking isn’t required, just turn up and ride!

Between 10am and 11am it’s club members (and friends and family) only. Between 11am and 12pm it’s open to everyone – club members and non-club members alike.

The Social Series rides will all be heading there – meet as normal at 9am for a 9.15am start. More details and routes will be on the ride page.

Bike hire is available for £2.50 a bike (first come, first served on the day). And the cafe will be open for snacks. NB – helmets MUST be worn for this ride.
