At Otley Cycle Club, we are very passionate about our coaching. In the past few years we have gone from strength-to-strength increasing the number of participants each year, with the last few years having up to 80 riders! For 2019 we are adding to our coaching team.
We are looking for the following;
Level 1 Coaches (x2)
Want to be involved with the future of cycling? Then why not become a qualified coach! Ideal for enthusiastic parents or somebody wanting to get more involved and help produce the next World or Olympic Champion! We already have some National & Yorkshire champions who started their cycling journey with us. This role involves commitment but is very rewarding.
What do you need to do?
You would need to undertake a 2-day coaching course, the current dates are Sat 6th & Sat 13th October all in Leeds. You would need to be DBS checked, pass a first aid course & be committed to our Friday evening coaching sessions.
The cost of the course is considerable, OCC will cover the cost of the course but would be looking for at least a 3-year commitment in return. Our existing team of dedicated and experienced coaches will help guide you towards your qualification.
What can we give you in return?
All our coaching team are volunteers and don’t get paid. There are some benefits, you would get British Cycling Level 1 Coaching Certificate, DBS Check, First Aid Certificate, British Cycling Silver Membership, ‘Club Coach’ clothing and one free child place per term at coaching.
There will also be opportunities to further your coaching qualifications.
