Club Awards Dinner


After a very busy summer of cycling it is time to start thinking about and planning the Awards Dinner. Thanks to John Barnett for his amazing race reports and keeping me up to date with the results – I will be contacting all our trophy winners with an invitation for yourself plus one guest to attend the dinner. I will include details of your award and time/distance as I have it, so will need you to check this and let me know if I need to amend it – don’t want any errors on your trophy!

Junior Winners As with previous years, priority tickets will be offered to winners plus one guest. Other members who wish to attend will need to contact Christine Bell who will begin to compile a list – once we know how many tickets are available (early January) names can be drawn ‘out of a hat’ – as space is limited this seems the fairest way and has worked well in the past.
Before I can start getting awards ready I need last year’s winners to drop off their trophies. Ideally, I would like to start getting these in as soon as possible but no later than 1st December 2016. As I’m sure you can appreciate this is going to take quite some time to organise so early drop off would be much appreciated!

Having spoken to Tim, the chef at the golf club, he is happy to keep costs the same as last year – therefore tickets will be sold in line with last year – £17.00 adults, £8.00 for 16 and under, £6.50 for 11s and under. There will be a meat and vegetarian option plus pudding and coffee.
My contact details will be emailed out separately to last year’s winners in order to return your silverware!
