Leeds-based AlbaRosa Cycling Club is organising a time-trial league for 2016 involving five local clubs:
East Bradford CC
Yorkshire Road Club
All are encouraged to participate, in particular women & youth riders and road & criterium (short circuit) racers. And you don’t need a time-trial specific bike. In fact, the rule is that you use what the organising club AlbaRosa loosely call a ‘standard road bike’. There are also rules around bike equipment, on clothing and on helmets, one of the ideas of the league being that it is more accessible and that specific time-trial equipment isn’t required. Why not give it a go?
The league commences Sunday 1st May, consists of 10 events and is held every second Sunday, the last event being held on Sunday 4th September. There are two courses, one based at Addingham (Cycling Time Trials course code V810), the other at Ben Rhydding on the outskirts of Ilkley (V818).
There is a limit of 60 riders for each event, 12 per club. Entry cost is £3.50 per event. Details on possible selection criteria of our quota will be published later.
