Doing the circuit racing rounds.

Certainly successful hunting grounds for our younger members, closed circuit racing continues to bring success and more BC points.

Jack Coates continued to rack up the points, gaining another 2 for 2nd place in the U14 Boys category in Round 18 of the TCDG Race League (supported by Rapha) on the Tameside circuit at Ashton-Under-Lyne 1st August.

Not far away from our home base, Tom Cullen earned himself a point for 10th in the E/1/2/3 category at Round 3 of the Brownlee Evening Race Series on 2nd of August. In the same race, Robbie Pollard was 12th and James Coates 15th. A week later at Round 4 and in the same category Robbie was 15th.

The White Rose Youth League takes place at different venues in Yorkshire. At the Thursday League 7 on the 3rd of August, held at the York Sport Circuit, Amy Hodgkins scored a win in the U8 Girls, with brother Alex 7th in the U10 Boys. In the U16 Girls, Lucy Ellmore was 6th. The next event in the series was the Wednesday League Round 9 at the Richard Dunn Sports Centre in Bradford. Amy and Alex were on action again, Amy coming 3rd and Alex 9th in their respective categories and Eleanor Hunt was 5th in the U14 Girls. Otley had two second places at that round, Jack Coates in the U14 Boys (8 points) and Megan Cullen in the U16 Girls (2 points).

Moving into Lancashire and to the CDPP Crit Series Extra, held at the Steven Burke Sports Hub. In Round 1 on the 3rd of August, Jack Coates scored 2 points for 2nd in the U14 Boys. In the E1/2/3 event Robbie Pollard took 7 points for 3rd place and Tom Cullen 5 points for 5th with James Coates finishing in 12th. Round 2 a week later saw Jack winning the U14 Boys for 3 points, bringing his season tally so far to 334 points, and Dexter Leeming-Sykes taking 1 point for 3rd in the same category. Robbie finished 11th in the E/1/2/3 race.
