Gentle Ride: Wharfedale Special 17 Miles
A lovely ride that which uses the back road by the golf course onto Ellar Gyll and then meanders round Menston. After an explore of the suburbs we then do a gentle climb up Carlton lane to get you to the top of Chevin with minimal effort! An optional pointless loop around Bramhope takes you to the cafe stop. After the cafe stop there is an easy return to Otley via Surprise View and down West Chevin.
The café stop is at Le Jardin where there is a great range of snacks and a suntrap garden area (High Trees Garden Centre) http://www.hightrees.co.uk/caf-le-jardin
Ride leaders: Kerri Holmes and Mark Sage
Back markers: Shaun Walby and TBC
Stretching One: Bolton Bridge 23 Miles
This road takes the back road to Ilkley and then through Nesfield and onto Bolton Abbey, stopping at the first café near Bolton Bridge. The return route retraces your steps to give you a gentle ride on quiet back roads along the river with no major hill climbing. This is a great ride to do if you have done several gentle rides and are looking to ride a little bit further but are worried about overreaching yourself!
Ride Leaders: Hazel and Chris Winters
Stretching Two: Roundhay Ramble 28 Miles
This is a very interesting route which will take you along roads you are unlikely to know in our quest to find you some fine snacks and coffee at Roundhay Park. The route begins with a gradual climb to Surprise View – with recommended stopping places to admire the views! From Surprise View you get a trip along Millionaires Row to see some quirky architecture choices! After the café stop in Roundhay the rides will return to Otley via Eccup reservoir and an exciting descent of Black Hill – make sure your brakes are in good order for this ride!

Strenuous : Roundhay Rocks 29 miles
This is a great introduction to the strenuous rides because although there is one significant climb the rest of the ride is not too challenging. The ride starts with a climb up to Farnley before going to Pool and Arthington. We take a right hand turn to approach Black Hill. This Hill Climb featured on the Tour de Yorkshire and has two really steep sections which will test out your climbing legs. The road is relatively quiet and you can climb at your own pace easily. The views at the top of the climb are great and we will gather there to draw breath and take photographs.
After this climb the ride is mainly flat to Roundhay Park for coffee at the lovely Mansion House, The return to Otley will take us along the Chevin to Surprise View and then a fast descent along West Chevin.
