Event 5 of the corsaRosa interclub league was held on the hilly V810 course based at Addingham.
Held in near perfect conditions, although riders swear there was a headwind on the way to the Bolton Bridge roundabout, it saw the three Otley CC riders who had raced the course before achieve personal bests.
Chris Radcliffe was the fastest rider in the Woodrup AcciaioRosa steel category this week with a 30:20 and moved up to 2nd place overall in that competition.
Second claim rider Sophie Hewitson, who we’re pleased to have in our colours for the corsaRosa league, recorded 34:12, a great ride especially after racing in York Cycleworks Crit the day before under the colours of her first claim club University of Sheffield CC.
Michael Kitchen, riding the course under TT conditions after a previous test ride on it, recorded 35:14 and seems to prefer a hilly TT to a flat one. Especially the downhills Michael?
Liz Hills rode to a 36:22 – not quite achieving the 2:10 she thought she’d shaved off as she was looking at very old results at first! – but still a PB by 28s. Liz slipped slightly in the Women’s category but remains in the top 3.
Well done all!
Fastest overall on the day was David McNeill of albaRosa in 26:42. Fastest woman in 31:57 was Hannah Riechert, also of albaRosa.

Next event in the league is on Sunday 10th July on the V818 based at Ben Rhydding.
